I need to lose about 10 pounds for a weight lifting competition, I have about 10% body fat, and weight around 133, is this possible? I weighed around 120 during wrestling, but that was 1-2 months ago, is it possible to lose this weight?

I'd say you shouldn't do it. You would be either at too low BF (4% which is unhealthy for any long period of time) AND lose muscle. Or you will be at 6-8% AND lose a few pounds of muscle too. I don't think it'd be that heathy... ESPECIALLY if the comp is anytime soon. I would say to lose 10 pounds for you in a healthy way you'd want to have a good 2 months at least. That would be a bit more than a pound a week, in 1 month it'd be like more than 2 pounds a week and that'd be sorta ok, although you still might lose a bit of muscle considering you will have to take a huge calorie deficit AND probably cardio. Any faster isn't any good, which I have a feeling is what you are trying to do. I'd suggest just not doing the competition if for some reaosn you NEED to lose 10 pounds, you won't gain strength and could even lose strength and muscle mass as well. You don't have much to lose having only 13.3 pounds of BF on you, 10 pounds off you will automatically be a good portion of muscle just because you don't have that much to burn off your body and it is a short period of time most likely. At 10% BF and 133 pounds I'd guess you are what... 5'5"?? I'm 5'4" and 135 and 12% or so, so I'm guessing you are around my height. I'd say you might be ok getting down to 128ish, maybe 125, but don't go much lower. But I don't know, that's my guess at your height since the stats are similar to mine at 5'4".... Anywayz, it could be possible if you cut out at least 500 calories a day and do lots of cardio, but why bother? Is the competition REALLY important? And for weight lifting why would you want to lose muscle and fat? It seems liek you'd be better off staying at your weight because losing weight you have a possibilty of losing strength. I dunno... i gotta stop typing... GL if you wanna lose the weight, but IMO it isn't a great idea.

ORIGINAL: 8pack how old are you how tall are you? give us some stats man as I said in my post, my guess is 5'5" or around that... since I don't think he could be any taller or else he'd be lower than 10% by a lot... and any shorter, well than he'd be higher. Me being 5'4" 135 (sometimes 133) and 12ish % I'd say he could be an inch or so taller and be a less BF % cuz of it... but i also said that in my reply above, but just wanted to answer it since my other post is just way too long and i dunno fi anyone would bother reading it lol.
