An Australian man and his daughter have asked for understanding after revealing on national TV they have an incestuous relationship, and have a daughter.
John Deaves, 61, appeared on the TV show 60 Minutes with daughter Jenny, 39, and nine-month-old Celeste - to whom he is both father and grandfather.
Last month a judge banned them from having sex with each other and revealed they had a child in 2001 who died.
But they insisted on the programme that they were "normal intellectual adults".
Mr Deaves said they both "had careers, had a normal life like everybody else".
He added: "But [we have] fallen in love with each other when we are biologically related, when we've discovered each other later in life."
Mr Deaves had left the family home when his daughter Jenny was a baby, and did not see her again for 30 years.
When the couple met, in 2000, they began a sexual relationship.
Ms Deaves told 60 Minutes she began to see John as a man first and a father second.
"I was looking at him, sort of going, oh, he's not too bad. Like you might look at a man across the bar at a nightclub," she said.
"John and I are in this relationship as consenting adults. We are just asking for a little bit of respect and understanding."
The couple each pleaded guilty to two charges of incest last month and were banned from having sex with each other.
According to the judge's ruling in the case, the couple had a child in 2001 who died from congenital heart disease shortly after birth.

It's not as freaky as it could be.
If you think about it, any person you meet could be your half sister or brother or whatever.
Also, they didn't see eachother at all for 30 years, so I could see it happening.
I don't agree with it though, just saying it's better than in the south where it happens.

HAHA. She doesnt know, well, she knows im going out, and the people, she just doesnt know the continuous invitations are by girls, and the same girls.
Though i doubt she'd be too bothered, we trust each other a lot, and she'd probably find it funny.
Ive said before we find it funny to go into cubs or bars, pretend to not know each other or be single, get chatted up, lead them on, then at the end of the night when someone thinks theyve scored suddenly go
"Oh no im with him/her, didnt you know?"
The good old lines of "Oh so you just wanted me for sex then?!?!?!" is always a laugh.
Then we go home and have sex....LOL....
I love my relationship haha.
Sure, we could be called insensitive nasty people for thinking a lonely single has scored, but its fun.
My fiancee is basically like me, but with breasts, a vagina, and an IQ slightly above mine and better A level grades.

Maybe, maybe not, no one knows the future, what i do know is her personality and id say that would be unlikely, but people change etc, we just find it funny screwing around with people, its not just that we do, its funny to do things to screw people over in a not so serious manner.
If anyone reads that thinking "wow, inconsiderate ****s"
A lot of TV shows are made where this happens for entertainment

Its just a funny activity.
