Hi, I'm new here!

I'm a beginner and was interested in finding out wether it is important to eat meat (like steaks and such) with your training? I would eat 5-6 meals a day but they would all consist of tuna salads, fruits and vegetables and protein shakes. Is it possible to still build a bigger body without eating meat?

Thanks.

Thanks.

But I try to eat meat, very rarely though.

Is it bad to eat the same things every day? or it wouldn't matter as long as they have enough protein?

Sorry,  was adding more links to that last post while you were replying... Smile

As long as "the same things" every day is a well-rounded selection of whole foods, I don't see why not.  It might get pretty boring pretty fast, LOL.  I typically don't have any problem finding a huge variety of diverse vegetarian foods (especially when you include international cuisines, like Indian and Thai).  Having a wide menu to choose from helps keep you interested in the game, and prevents you from getting bored with the diet aspect of it. Smile

well If I'm serious about this bodybuilding gig, I can be sure not to get bored of the dieting lol.

my current diet consists of:

8:00am - Protein Shake
11:00am - Tuna Salad (With eggs but without the yolk) with 4 slices of whole wheat dark bread and baby carrots.
2:00pm - Peanut Butter (with 2 slices of whole wheat bread) and 2 fruits.
5:00pm - Tuna Salad (once again!)
8:00pm - Protein Shake
Before I go to sleep - Protein Shake.

doesn't look THAT great, but I don't know...

Well, it's more than most people eat, that's for sure. However, if you're trying to bulk up, I'd seriously consider replacing your pre-bedtime protein shake with an actual meal (maybe one hour before bed). I assume you're talking about whey protein, which digests very quickly and will run it's course through your bloodstream after a few short hours. Just be careful about consuming huge amounts of complex carbs right before bed -they make you sleepy, but since your digestion slows down during sleep, those carbs can be easily stored as fat.

In any case, you would seriously benefit from eating at least one more meal (of whole food) between 5:00 and bedtime, and make sure you're getting lots of dark leafy greens if you're gonna be on a bulking diet -fiber and water are your digestive system's best freinds Smile
