Varied diet - Friday, July 18, 2003 5:14 PM
I am currently training to get leaner with 4 days of weight training a week and 3 cardio sessions. I' ve been training with very high intensity and I' ve seen great results so far.
I also would like to increase the size of my front delts and upper pecs. My question is, would eating more after that specific workout than every other day of the week allow me to add mass to those areas while staying on an overall fat-loosing diet?
Is it possible or plausible to add mass to just a few muscles while getting the rest of my body more toned and leaner?

If you train those areas with more intensity (but not overtraining).. that should induce more growth to an area.. if you concentrate on it. Just don' t neglect the other area of your body.

Some would say that if your calves are weak, that is the first thing you do on a leg day. So you can give the most energy to the lagging bodypart.

Eating more in general, as long as it' s clean, should just add mass overall to your body. Eating won' t affect an area. Only the stress of working out will.

You should be eating more, but good whole clean foods. You' ll gain some fat (2:1 ratio) but overall, you will be losing bodyfat.

Yes. Your body will gain weight all over, but you can concentrate on specific areas. Work them harder, more weight, get them to grow while just keeping the other areas tone and in shape without forcing them to grow.

Eating won' t affect an area but the intensity of your training and the particular exercises and weights will.

You should probably be eating on a consistent basis, regardless of training or not.

I eat and supplement the same each day, no matter if I train or not.
