Hi, I have been going to the gym for about two months three times a week and I have a problem that my body seems to grow more on the right then the left. This has left my right shoulder bigger than the left and other muscles have the same effect, bigger on the right then the left. Is there anything I can do the make them grow even or even it up? Thanks, Mike.

Make sure you are doing same weights, same reps, same sets, if you cant do as many with the left as with the right, lower the right weights till left catches up

Lord they are hot though, don't touch, I advise. But you are burned, and penalised, of course overdramatise and you get the prize. I am that boy baby girl and now I will end your 9 lives.

Gun Ryo is correct, you are going to have to play catch up wiith your left side. I would find the maximum weight you are capable of doing for a bulking weight on my left side and grow from there. Start with 3-4 set of 6-8 reps. But make sure that your form is flawless meaning no assists, swing, rocking, just straight sets. even try taking the last set to failure; sometimes i even after failure wait 5-10 sec. and squeeze 1-2 more reps for additional shocking. Maybe even some supersetting, if you are advanced enough, these should not be attempted until your form is solid though.

Gun Ryo and workin on it are both right. so i would say about the same thing. lower weight until the left catches up. and any exercise that you use one side or hand in, start with the weaker side. so if u do bicep curls with 30 pounds and do 9 reps with your left hand then do the same weight and same reps with your right hand.

Thanks, Mike. For your Shoulders... you can try doing only DB's for Chest and Shoulder work. Using only them will help you push evenly. Have someone check out your form. If you are using a machine and it's guided, you may not realize it, but your stonger side might just be taking over. If it's one side of your chest or arm that looks larger, same deal with the DB's, but also... try to flex the areas throughout the day. Sound weird, but chances are you need a stronger mind to muscle connection with those areas, and doing this will give you a better link to your mind when you go to perfrom the movements. With two months going to the gym, chances are it's just your form that needs work... maybe hire a trainer and explain your situation.

Hi: I'm facing a similar problem. My right upper arm (deltoid) is 0.25 inches bigger than my left. same is the case with my (right) 'area just below the elbow' [sorry, don't know what it's called]. it is also 0.25 inches bigger than it's left counterpart. I am new to weight training and for the past month I've just been using machines (pull down, chest, etc.) and simultaneous dumbbell curls (for my biceps). since everything is 'simultaneous', I figure while doing my work-out (eg: pull downs) my right part is more stronger and does about 60% of the work while the left does only 40% of the labour. could this be the reason? [btw, I do the same number of dumbbell curls for my right and left arm..and they are simultaneous as mentioned above] what can I do to rectify this?? Is there a way to strap some weights to my right arm so it's harder for my right arm to lift..or should I continue doing my work-out with machines, etc. with my left arm for a while? I'm really worried. please advise. Thanks!
