Turning fat into muscle?
-
Thursday, April 20, 2006 6:42 PM
What's the method to turn fat into muscle?? I'm a total newbie to all this. Do I have to lose all the fat first and then bulk up?? I want to lose about 20 lbs by the end of June, so I have about three months for this. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. hn2682: Fat doesn't turn into muscle or muscle doesn't get turn into fat my friend, you lose muscle if you stop working out, and you gain fat if you don't do anything other then not watching what you eat, such as junk food. And you gain muscle through hard and smart training along with good rest and diet. You don't have to lose fat to bulk up. You can bulk up and gradually lose fat over 6-8 weeks, with cleaner diet and cardio about 2-3 times a week, about 20-30minutes when bulking. For food, eat 5-6 meals a day. Eat a protein, carb, and fruit or vegetable at each meal. It's much better to get your protein from food,Make sure your carbs are low on the glycemic index, and avoid simple carbs, sugar, and alcohol. One cheat meal a week is fine and is needed to keep you sane. Towards bulking routine. Have a look at this my friend. http://www.discussbodybuilding.com/Begginers_Natural_Bodybuilding/m_120872/tm.htm hope this help. Any questions, I'd be gladly to help Goodluck with training!

Fat doesn't directly turn into muscle. It is lost and then muscle is added. As for suggestions do alot of cardio and eat clean.. or you can try a fat burner supplement.
Height: 6'1'' Weight: 223 lbs.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm not really looking into using fat burning supplements. What exactly is a "clean" diet?? I mean, I stopped drinking soda and all I drink is water now. I eat fruits and veg. daily. Glycemic index? I know rice has alot of carbs, but us Asians eat rice everyday. I gotta cut down on that. I read the some of the nutrition section and there's a huge list of foods. How exactly do you know how much to eat of what? Do you measure the carbs, protein, fats, calories, etc of everything you eat? Sorry about all the questions. I really want to get this started like by next week or maybe by the end of this month.

But I'm assuming it has to do with genetics. Anyways hope that help.

The best type of rice to eat for a great source of energy AND fat loss is all natural whole grain brown rice.
