Trying to help my wife - Wednesday, August 06, 2003 4:35 PM ( #1 )
I have a Parabody Gym,Butterfly machine, leg machine,etc......I was wondering what kind of workout I can setup for my wife, she really wants to help herself lose weight and body fat,she has already started eating different and is starting to walk, but now she wants to start lifting to help burn body fat, could anyone offer any routines and exercises that may help

Thanks
Shera

I'm no expert, but I'd start her off with some full body training to get her bod used to lifting....to do this have her work major muscle groups..arms, legs, chest and back......one exercise per part, for starters (2-3wks)...can be done as a circuit or broken into upper body and lower body days...as things progress...add more weight, sets and exercises...till eventually, she'll be an old pro at it!

ok,thanks, what exercises,in your opinion,do you think would be better,I know that butterflies would help tighten up her chest, and I know leg exercises, but what about toning up the arms, waist & back

Thanks again

Check out the training and exercise forums....I believe I have seen some posts about beginner basics there. Keep in mind that women have the same muslces as men do...we are made sort of the same tht way...training will be the same a s well....there are differences due to differences in center of gravity and q angleing, but basically we all train the same...do some searches in this site...pretty quality info here... ciao
