Are you supposed to round your back during a zercher deadlift?

I'm not strong enough for it. But I want to train like one. I was told that Zercher Deadlifts can increase your regular deadlift.

Thats interesting, I have never actually seen anyone do these before, IRL or on the net. I was watching some other youtubes and people doing zercher squats as well as deads/sumo deads. awesome post, I think I might look into this some more Godzmarine I'm not strong enough for it. Are you doing it with a fat bar? Nice lift!

That looks very similar to front squats with how it works the muscles, but i imagine that gets your back a bit more involved.

Wrecked13 Damn those are hardcore i bet u got some nasty bruises on ur thighs lol are you saying that merely because of the other thread where I posted the pic of my thigh bruises from doing zerchers? He is doing a zercher deadlift, you don't touch your thighs in a zercher deadlift. Did you even watch the video? I got bruises on my thighs from doing a zercher lift, not deadlift, where it requires you to rest the bar on your thighs during the lift. to clarify: zercher lift- video zercher deadlift- see this threads video zercher squat- video

Woo I'm not a fan of those. That didn't look very safe w/ how high your hips are when you start the lift and how rounded the back has to be to pick it up that way. You lose the natural curve that protects your lumbar spine.
