I purchased ProTrack 2005 the other day. And then I started thinking how many others have fitness software tracking stuff out there? Maybe you just use Excel. Would a sub-form under Training and Nutrition be helpful in discussion software options? Reviews or recommendations of stuff we find out there in our searches?

ProTrack 2005 stinks. Nice graphs but damn...50% of the time the food I just ate is not in the database. It's not even close to FitDay's ease of use.

Yea, the database MUST be fully customizable! I eat too many foods not in any database! And my supplements are never in any!!! On my PocketPC I have a program that is a diet and workout, cardio, results tracking journal. Mobile Coach. Tracks daily calories like fitday.com: Daily expenditure and intake plus metabolism. You can add custom foods to the database and make foods you consume often into Favorites for ease of finding. Since I have a menu plan with set meals week to week, I program in meals instead of foods. Then I select the meal I ate...viola! In the workout section, you can add custom exercises or entire custom workouts. So for this week, I sit down and plan my training and put it in the calendar. Then when I go to train I just pop the workouts I planned open and check the sets/weights/reps. I fI forgot what I did last week I can look at those. If I want to change something for next week I can add a new workout for next week and make the change. There is seperate tracking for cardio and for measurements. So for each day on the calendar view there can be 3 things (cardio, measurements, workout)...then you can switch between views...go to your meals, look at graphs... It does more...give it a test drive. There are tons of screenshots on their website so you can see how it looks. There is now a Windows desktop Version as well that does all the same and lets you sync between the two. There are a ton of graphs for calories, weight, body circumference, heart rate, etc etc which you can view info from over 1 week, 4 weeks, 12 weeks, and a year. You can preview the program by downloading a trial and it only cost 14.95 to own last I checked. http://www.biomobility.com/mobilecoach.htm I am addicted to the ease and mobility of Mobility Coach for helping me stay on top of tracking my actual training and diet! I am also trying out and using a bunch of other programs. I will tell about good ones later. There is a great one I use with my clients fro dialing in the diet plan, but that still needs tweaks before I would recommend it here! Maybe when I get it to work the way I want it to. When I did complete nutrient-balanced diet design for farm crop selection and design with small scale, sustainable farmers in developing countries, I designed a program that did EVERYTHING I want a program to do! We had to use slide rules to use the program in the field with the farmers. Then we would grow all the food we needed! That was awesome...but for anoter post. One day I will get with a programmer to implement it...MY way!
