Took a week off - Monday, November 20, 2006 4:16 AM
OK so I had been doing MAX-OT since last week in September.  I had not really changed my routine around in that time and therefore started thinking I should.

I had not really hit any kind of brick wall but my weight had started to stay constant at around 190lbs up from 180lbs when I started.

So instead of fixing up a new routine I thought I'd try the week off thing.  I kept my diet about the same at 3300 calories or there abouts and did no exercise at all.

I've just been back to the gym today and weighed in at 194lbs so apparently I've gained 4lbs in the week.  Now I am not celebrating or panicking yet but just thought I'd share this with everyone.  I'll see what happens to my weight over the next week or two and how I feel with my lifts and report back.

If you have not done the week off thing recently then think about it - you know who you are.

nice man.
ya " the week off " is really good 2-3 times a year.
I take 2 weeks off once a year and it's really good 2.

but try not to keep the same routine for 2 long...since septembre its okay but if I wore u I would change the routine in december.it's better to change routine every 3-4 months.

I find a week off every 8-10 weeks really does help.

The first week back is always a bit of a struggle and really hurts the following day, but from then on things take a big step forward and improvements seem to be there
