I've been taking Body fortress creatine mono about half an hour before workout and immediantly after.

I recently went out and got Bodyfortress NO.  It's got some creatine in it, and it's meant to be dranken before and during a workout, so would that be my standard 10grams of creatine right there?  Or would I be better off taking the straight creatine mono anyway.

10 grams is too much unless you are loading, or are 250lbs of monster muscle. You will be giving all your creatine to the gators in the sewers and thus endagering us all!  Creatine is to be used between workouts, as your creatine stores are depleted during exercise.  So, with plain creatine, take it after or before, or anytime for that matter as long as it falls in between your last and your next workout.  For products with NO, it is to be taken before, and the NO would have zero effect on a resting body.  So the NO/Creatine mix before workouts, and don't take any more, untill you take it again before your next workout.  Do not take anything on non-workout days.

I disagree optimum, people on a loading phase take in 20g a day, so 10g a day is not too much. I have been doing 10g a day for over a year.

I did not say you could not do it, and nothing bad, that we know of, happens if you take more than your body will use, all I am saying, is that you are wasting your money taking way more than is needed.

Stick with straight mono. I dont think 10g is too much. I only take it within 30 minutes post-workout though.

When I went heavy on creatine, I worked up to 5-7.5g before, and 10-15g after. That was a looonngg time ago and I dont play with creatine anymore.
