Just wanted to share my review on a new product that I saw recently at the 2007 Ronnie Coleman Classic. The product is advertised as "supports muscle recovery and prevents or significantly reduces muscle soreness due to exercise." Briefly, their science sections says the product contains carbohydrates to raise insulin levels and restore glycogen, essential amino acids to support protein synthesis and HMB to help repair muscle membranes and prevent the leakage of pro-inflammatory proteins. It comes as a orange flavored powder that is mixed with water and it does taste good. I have tried it several times now and it does seem to help reduce the amount of muscle soreness I feel over the next several days. The muscles may be sore to the touch, but they're not so sore that I feel debilitated. Because it is nutritional, it can't be a cureall, but it seems to help. I did use it immediately following my workout along with added creatine and then several hours lated followed up with a whey protein shake. I've tried a lot of supplements and some work and some don't, but so far I'm pretty satisfied with the results I have gotten. I'll probably keep using it to see if it helps with gains in the long run, but if it does nothing more than help with the soreness, that's something. Cheers.
