I need feedback from people who have actually used thermogain or hydroxycut. Hydroxycut has been in the market for quite some time now and if it was not as effective, it should have been off the shelves but I can still see ads on Hydroxycut back to the early 90s... just my two cents...

ORIGINAL: mindfreak Which of these products are more effective? Im thinking of getting either one to help me in lowering my body fat...while gaining lean muscle... I've used Hydroxycut before, never cared for it. Never used Thermogain. Both of these products are thermogenics which are vasoconstrictors made to decrease blood flow and to increase metabolism in order to reduce fat cells. But I think that Thermogain also contains Tri-Creatine Malate and includes Arginine which is a vasodiolator (increases blood flow). I'm know expert but, it seems to me that taking a product that contains both a vasoconstrictor (to constrict blood flow) and vasodiolator (increases blood flow) is defeating the purpose of muscle gain. Peace

My bet is that the product will produce rock hard muscles....unlike creatine and proteins, they promote water retention in and out of the muscles... making it look bigger...I am guessing that this will make the muscles harder.... still no idea how its going to work...

Thermogain works alot better. Don't use it as a fat burner tho, just something to help you get through some tough workouts.

So what you're basically trying to tell me is that, thermogain is not as effective... But it is good in providing extra energy? Any obvious increases? Like in lifting weights or anything?

its not a bad product. but its not gonna give u 10lbs of muscle, it more or less helps preserve your muscle and gives u some added energy. I'd definitly buy it again when i need it. the energy is good, it really gets u moving.

i've takin it for almost 2 weeks, lost 3 pounds and suprisingly actually does give me more energy when working out, did 3 sets of 12 reps 45 lb dumbell curls never have done that before, from the results I've gotten from thermo gain give it a try. Plus I worked out for the first time in 3 weeks when I started taking it and it seemed like it gave me energy and stamina. I didn't lose anthing on my max bench

Does hydroxycut do anything now that it doesn't contain ephedra? Also, are the side effects the same without ephedra as they were with?

No clue about hydroxycut, but theromogain is the sh!t! It was recommended to me by the dude who works at the local GNC, been using it for a while now and there's a truely noticable improvement in my performance. In just the first week of using it all my rep weights shot up 5-10lb's. I'm talking 6 sets with 175lbs on the bench from 165lbs, 60lb dumbell press from 55's, 25lb dumbells for curling to 30's. Just in the first week! I feel so much more alive in the weight room when I'm on this stuff. Usually I get kinda tired, start slowing down, don't push myself as hard as I could. On this stuff it's just like, bam! I just plow right through an intense 2hr work out. Sweat pooring off me, veins exploding out of my body, it's incredible. There's not a day that goes by were I don't get asked if I'm on steroids. I don't know if the results are 100% from the suppliment, or if some of it's just psycological. Guessing it's both, but either way the results are very posetive. I'd be careful about taking tooooo much though. I jumped right into taking 3 pills 3 times daily and I felt like ****. Just, too much, so I only took 2 a day for the first few weeks till my body got used to it. It's pretty powerful stuff!!! On the back of the bottle it says that each serving (3 pills) is the equivelent of 2.5 cups of coffe. That's 7.5 cups of coffe a day... quite the stimulent! So, yea, I'd say it'd work wonders for losing weight. Not the suppliment itself, but the energy it gives you will help you push through even the most intense work outs. Instead of running a 6.0mph for 30mins on the tredmill, you may find yourself running a 7.0mph for 45mins or something like that. There's also Thermo Shred, which is supposed to be more for losing fat and adding definition. So, I'd probably look into that first if I were you. Supposively it's even more affective than the Thermo Gain. Says "competition grade" on the bottle. Donno if it lives up to it's printed reputation, but it'd be worth a look-see. Haha, what ever you do, don't drink any soda, any coffe, nothing with this stuff. You will neeevveerrrrr sleep! Good luck man! Hope it works out well for you.
