Okay Today I was doing my 4 sets, 8 reps of 50 lbs (not counting the bar) barbell curls.  On my way up on the 4th set, 7th rep, my left arm got all the way (and ws ready to do another few reps) and the right arm crapped out (no comments about my insanely low weights please).

The weird part is that I'm a righty, I do everything right handed except fencing which I do lefthanded.

Can one sport really screw up my symmetry so much?

what i do for this is I do both at once so that doesnt happen. Maybe try that. The right arm will crap out because you use it so much. Its just ironic but the left arm craves to be used lol.

Gah...50lbs barbell curl?

hmm i only use 25lbs on dumbells...
Now THATS a light weight...then again...I do 4 sets, and 20 reps each arm...

I wouldn't worry the same thing has happened to me...then again it might be explained by the way that my left arms slightly weaker so i try to even it out by raising the dumbell on the right arm slower to make it that little bit harder and wear it out easier...

Though i am now using a big bar with 60lbs i think and i can feel my biceps really work loads better than using single dumbells...but thats just me....

I use dumbbells quite a bit, especially for bench press.  I find it prevents against strength imbalance.

Nice Vario.  Exactly my suggestion.  Trying dumbbells for a while to even things out.
