The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly - Thursday, September 23, 2004 9:41 AM
I have rescently discovered something very interesting and I felt that it was my duty to share this with all the DB members. I know all the rage is over all the wonderful NO (nitric oxide) products. *Increase blood flow, better pumps, more energy*, blah blah blah.... We have heard it all. I'm not putting down these supps because some of them do work. But DAMN, they are expensive. Lucky for you, I have found something that works just as good for me, as any of the NO products I have tried (NO-Explode, V-12 Turbo, NO2).

Now, I'm going to get to what I'm here to say. I have discovered that good ol' LIVER TABS from Universal Nutrition give me the same "pump feeling" just like all other products I listed above. The product is called UNI-LIVER from Universal. Its cheap as well. I bought a jar of 500 tabs from MassNutrition.com for only like $10.

Also, I don't know if its gonna have the effect on someone else as they do me, but I think every serious lifter should atleast give Uni-Liver a try. For the price, why not? No company out there is gonna sell there NO product for $10 for 500 tabs. You can also go to AnimalPak.com and look through the site and find an article on Liver Tabs if you want more information on them. I'll tell everyone right now, i'm gonna continue to use them for as long as I lift.

I'm also not saying that Uni-Liver is gonna give you huge freakin' gains or whatever. Because it probably won't, but it will help consolidate your foundational supplementation. I never got that many gains from NO products. What I have experienced from taking Uni-Liver for alittle more than a week is... more energy and better pumps. I take 12 tabs a day, 4 with each main meal. Thats an added 19 grams of extra protein to my daily intake. And we all know how important protein is... There are alot of other benefits to taking Uni-Liver. So, go read up at AnimalPak.com

I hope some of you give it a try, I think it will surprise you.

Later ya'll.
Kris

I think you work for Universal Nutrition... since over 1/2 of your posts promote only their products (like this one).

Well there's a difference between cost in the raw materials of L-Arginine (NO2) and Uni-Liver. Uni-liver sounds like nothing more then an amino acid supplement with a few vitamins tossed into the mix and then words like "Uni-Liver has been a classic staple of hardcore bodybuilders for over 15 years" to help sell their product. They talk more about how it's made ("Uni-Liver is quickly flash frozen to -18°C") then how it works. OH MY GOD OH MY GOD!!!! IT'S SO MUCH BETTER THAT IT'S FLASH FROZEN!!!!

Also, not all NO products work for people... but you need to be carefull how you categorize them. NO-Xplode and V12 are not NO products. They are creatine products with NO included into the mix. Also... I know of no amino acids or vitamins that are included in uni-liver that could give your body a pumped feeling. Plecebo is my best guess... but I'd feel better spending my money on a multi and some fish oils myself.

Look bro, all I was trying to get across is the fact that I got the same "pump feeling" with liver than expensive NO products. I never gained muscle mass off NO. If you wanna spend more money on NO, go ahead, I'll just keep this little secret to myself. Personally, I'd rather spend less and get better results.

Hey bro... don't get offended. I mean, you don't work for Universal right? I'm not putting you down... just the product.

I'm not telling anyone to spend money on NO and I never have. I get my pumps from the gym and that's all I need. My point is, there's nothing unique about that product. It's just another amino acid supplement with a "cool" description that makes it sound like more then it really is.

Nah man, I work at an Eckerd Drug store 2 miles from my house. I like Universal products. I don't use anything else. There products have never let me down. I go with what works. Thats all. The only reason why I posted the review is because it seems like you shouldn't expect alot from Uni-Liver. ****, I didn't, theres no mind trickery to it. You don't see ads in all the magazines for liver. I just know that I have some good pumps, all day long, and I know for a fact that I'm not taking a NO product. I just think its a better alternative to NO. And I have more to gain from it than NO. I'm sure you read that liver is great for your blood. Helps liver fuction. **** like that. I personally believe that I'll benefit more from taking liver than NO. I think that most people think they are getting awesome results from NO just because all the hype. They expect to feel a bad ass pump, and when they happen to get some kind of pump, its automatically the NO. I have tried NO products, I took NO2 for like half a year. I didn't gain much if anything. That just my opinion, and yours is certainly welcome anytime.
