Well.anywho.you.know.those.machines.that.are.basically.bench.suat.but.they.have.a.guide.for.the.bar

Does.that.cut.down.on.anything?

Like.I.use.it.because.I.cant.stop.from.wobbling,but.does.it.cut.down.on.anything?

You mean the Smith machine.

What do you mean by 'cut down'

If you think doing free squats on a bar in the squat rack is anything similar to doing squats on that type of machine?  Not even close.

The only thing it will 'cut down' on is the gains you could make.

You wobble because:

1- You aren't used to it
2- Too much weight?
3- Stabilizers aren't ready to handle it and they are adjusting

All the more reason to do it free stance.  When you do the Smith, you simply don't have to use as much "full" body.  What balance do you do?  None.  You go up and down.  There's no balancing, and no stabilizers involved.

You can bet 80% of the other guys are squatting and doing them free stance.

You outta take ever 'legitimate' advantage you can to get bigger and stronger safely.
