there's no reason i can't get there.   i was 4.6% almost 2 years ago.

and my workout partner matt went from around 20% to about 8 or 9% in just under 6 months.

Hey man for skull crushers, if you want more bang for your buck, lift up your head off the bench.  You'll feel it in your abs.  It also allows for greater range of motion.

* sorrry, but anyone who wants to look at the pics are going to have to turn their head sideways.   this is a little update from cutting so far.  i'm hangin around 197ish.   10 pounds lost so far.   my abs are there, but every other area is losing BF and it seems that the abdominal region is going to be last

Pullups 3x10 -- Bodyweight + 5lbs 
Altered BB curls followed by regular BB curls --- 
42.5lb BB = 10/10
45lb BB = 8/8
47.5lb BB = 6/6

BB Rows  3x5 --140/145/150
Hammer Curls  2x5 --40's / 45's 
Incline DB Curls  3x1 (4 holes showing in chair) ---- 55's/60's/60's      my left arm is weaker than my right on curls.   i can get 60 with NO problem with the right.    the left one is close, but i just can't seem to break  the halfway point and pull it thru.  need a partial spot on my left arm.

Thursday ---- 7 - 3 - 08 ----  Current weight = 196 (abs still not really showing too much, oh well) 


Incline BP  3 x 5 ---- ramped weight -- 205/210/215
Dips 3 x 10 ---- ramped weight -- 40/42.5/45  (man.. dips kill me, especially when i go to bench after)
Flatbench 3 x 5 ----- ramped weight -- 215/225/230(did 4 on the last set, needed spot on the last rep) 
Close-grip BP 3 x 5 -- ramped weight -- 155/160/165
Skullcrushers 3 x 8 -- (ez curl bar utilized) -- Ramped weight --- 80/82.5/85 (lifted my head up on the first set, and HOT DAMN!!!, that made it much harder to do the extensions haha... matt was like "wtf are you doing???  it looks like a crunch with a tricep extension haha".        needed a spot at 6 or 7th rep on the last 2 sets.  my triceps were dead)

well dips kicks my ass so then going to bench seems like it would be pretty tough.  Dips use a lot of lower peck too if you go all the way down.  your chest is probably week compared to you tri's.

Obviously Matt is not human.  He loses 50lbs of fat, gets ripped and keeps strength with big maxes all in 6 months or something.  You can't be compititive with some sort of alien can you?


Some friends came to visit this week who hadn't seen me in about 6 months and they looked at me like I was an alien. So I guess it all makes sense now. No reason to go on pretending to be human anymore. Cats out of the bag!

Jason knows we each have our strong points and week points, he just likes to think he should excell at anything and everything. I need to start my own journal so I can talk about how much better Jason's deadlift is and how rediculously huge his arms are. Yeah, that's what I'll do! I am pretty proud of my bench though. I'm shooting for 300 1RM at hopefully 160lbs. BW next time we max. Maybe one day I'll be proud of my squat and deadlift #'s as well.

Jason you need to hurry up with your cut. You know you won't want to keep doing it when I start bulking. TRUST ME! Of course I think its only fair since I had to watch you eat ice cream and pack on muscle while I was eating turkey and tuna sandwiches.

Standing OH BB Press  3x5  ------  120/125/130  (kept the abs tight, and it really helps keep the strain off lower back)
 
leg press Calf Raises  3x12 --------  4 plates on each side, 4plates + 25 lb each,  4 plates + 35 lb each 
Side Raises  3x8   --------   25's/25's/25's  (matt had to spot me on the last few reps of the 2nd and 3rd set) 

Hamstring Pulldowns  3x8    ---------  105/110/115  (these felt great)

It rained, and we played tennis for about 1.5 hours.   2 full games with doubles.   1rst game went very well for me.  Serves were SOLID, and i had my topspin going on a good portion of my forehand shots.   still need to work on placement and backhand topspin.

*got honked at by some chick that drove by.  that made me feel good.  she liked the hot sweaty man-meat she saw running around on the tennis court smothering that yellow ball*

also need to work on letting my emotions control the game.  They get the best of me sometimes.

Either way.. lots of fun.  I'm addicted to tennis.   AND WE GOT A SHUTOUT on our first game.  It feels good when you are not only feeling unstoppable, but digging yourself out of holes when your down 40-love and end up winning it. 

Tomorrow = back/biceps.   Hope deadlifts felt as good as they did last time.  the upper 200's on deads were feelin' REAL solid.  i feel that i'm making some good gains in strength so far in this exercise.

Sounds awesome, haha. I have the same problem as well. Lately though, I've been playing a lot of tennis (every day this week) or some racquetball or hardcore bball in the gym, and I lost like 3 lbs I think. I think it might just be water or something, but it still stinks either way.
