I have not stepped on a scale lately. Was down to 270lbs from 285 earlier this year. Took time off in Germany and ate alot of bread. Bloated me up like crazy. Now that I'm back, I am getting the diet back down and getting things rolling for the winter bulk.

I would eat four of them for Breakfast. No Eggs and Bacon over there. Then I would eat one or two for lunch, then a Large late Dinner. Yea, My diet was gone! But those Brotchen are to die for.

You could drink over 8 liter glasses, not remember how you got back to your room, and wake up the next day with no hang over...nothing! Very Strange. If the U.S. could make beer like that, I would be in trouble. http://www.bierbike.de/

rippedchick why so light? did you get hurt? If you mean Deadlift? I was hit by a car in 1982. Hyrniated disc problems ever since. I started Squating last year. Have been doing well with it so I decided to add DL's. Slow and steady for now. Doctor freaks out when I tell him what I'm doing, but he knows he can't stop me.

9/18 0830 5 min elip wu Shoulder day - I slept 5 hours. My chest and back in between my shoulders felt like it needed to crack but wasn't doing it. Really was bothering my workout: Muscle pain after reps. Hard to motivate and felt weak. DB OH Press 50x10 55x5 60x3 70x4 70x5 BB Mil Press 135x4 115x6 - dropped down in weight as I had trouble with 135 today and my spotters are to short to spot when I press it up. DB Lat raises 25x6 30x6 Skullcrushers 90x6 90x6 Tricep cable pulldowns 200x6 200x6 DB OH tricep press 65x6 Hope next week goes better with rest.

You know if you did seated mil press it would not only put more focus on your shoulders but your spotters would be able to reach it ;)

9/19 0905 5 min elipticle Warm Up Arm day - Got about 5 hours of sleep again today. Work is short a guy and I'm picking up the slack. I leave the house at 11:30am and get home about 02:00 am. Today I used what Soccerking3000 stated about wrist position doing curls and worked more with hammer curls. Curl Bar curls 50x10 70x5 90x3 110x6 115x6 BB Curls 110x6 110x6 DB Hammer curls 50x6 - started lifting with my knuckles to the outside turning knuckle to the down position as I lifted up 45x6 - knuckles to the outside the entire lift - much harder. alternated left and right 35x6 - knuckles to the outside entire lift, both arms up and down together- way harder 35x4- same as above, left side failed at 4, right could have done more. Ab Cable Pulldowns 200x10 200x10 Ab Machine 200x6 150x10 - went deeper into the crunch with the less weight.

Does the body get as much benefit if I sit down? Only reason I do them standing is that I think they are better for me overall. No? Only difference is you take out the core's role of stabilizing the torso if you do it seated. Seated is arguably better for direct shoulder development due to the ability to lift more weight. But if you're doing other movements for the core - squats, deadlifts, pullups, chinups, maybe even direct core work then switching to seated is a good suggestion.

Called off the rest of the weeks workout days. My back is giving me troubles. Hard to sit, stand, and walk. I guess Deads are not ment to be. I think If I cut back on the weight to under 200 and try again it may help. More than likely I will have to drop deads all together. I will try and get back in the Gym on Monday. It's Tough getting old.

When I started doing deads again and squatting properly I had real troubles with how weak my lower back was and recovery being a pain. Try some active recovery with just real like hyper extensions, or some foam rolling on your back, or even try contrast showers. I know you have had serious injuries, but if you can slow things down and try and bring some more strength to your back it could benefit you in the long run. Just be careful and don't give up even if you need a small break just make sure to do something else to bring strength to your core. Also I posted some measurements in my log since you asked about it a couple weeks ago.
