The thing is while i'm actually lifting, i do feel the strain and almost always failure. But, once i put down the weight i feel as though i could have done more so i dunno whats the deal.

Just consider failure as inability to do 1 more rep with proper form.

Is it best to go to failure on every last rep?

The deal is you recover quickly.  As long as there is continuous progression in your workout intensity...you are going well.

As for failure all the time.  No need to do it all the time.  You don't ever need to but there is a benefit when bulking to do it only the last rep of the last set and not all the time.

Just something i found on bb.com. its quite interesting. Dunno how true it is though because i look at my friend's workouts and their all done slower after the 1st 2-4 reps and to failure and yet they are getting good gains.

Hey Dan, when you say continued progression in intensity what are the factors? i can only think of increasing weights? But what if increasing is not possible. Like i tried b4 lifting 22.5kg db on each hand for a db press i couldn't. But when i was with my friends they assisted me thru the 1st rep and then i could do it by myself 4 times.

And Btw, What do you think of me switching to a 5-meal a day diet? the reason for doing so is because i get quite lazy when it comes to my last meal and sometimes i find myself eating faster to try and get the 6th meal in on time.
If i switched to 5 meal a day, the calorie value for each meal will be about 100 calories higher would that be a problem to adapt to?

Heightened GH release above the normal release from training.

Increases in weight should be cyclic, not linear.

Read the links on intensity in my gaining mass thread.

As for 5 vs 6 meals...the first thing is that the additional meal had to do with spacing out the calories and nutrients.  Not just more calories.  you want to be building muscle and protecting muscel all the time.

It is not a great idea, but if you try it for 2 weeks and see if you have a problem...you can make a determination

This is so much better then cutting!
Dan i'm not sure how accurate my measurements are, but is it really possible to cut bf immediately after a whole week of bingeing ( last week )? I know i played some hardcore baskbetball on tuesday.
I've been using my last week's measurements for my Subsca and L-Back bcos i haven't been able to get my dad to measure for me. How badly will this affect the accuracy?

Gonna treat myself to some Nice BBQ ribeyes today =D.

saternal, instead of asking Dan every little detail about what're planning to do, maybe try a bit of "trial-and-error". I'm sure you'll learn much more than getting fed everything :D. There's an old saying which goes something like the following: "If you give him a fish, he'll eat one day. If you teach him to fish, he'll eat for a lifetime"

Sorry saternal if it sounded offensive, didn't mean to make it sound like that.

As with binging, you need to stop binging :D. I've heard you mention several times about you binging yourself. When you do have junk food, etc, just control the amount of food you woud eat normally, or bigger than usually, but not to eat until you have to unbuckle your pants!

Towards with bulking/cutting, stick with one. If you just started bulking, then it's best to stick with it, rather than cutting just because you binged.
