TKD vs. CKD
-

I was thinking about going on TKD. I was going to do include brown rice with cheese before and after each workout but for some reason it just doesn't seem like it'd be as effective for fat loss. Any of you guys tried it? What do you think?

there are advantages to both. TKD is still really effective for fat loss because u drop back into ketosis a few hours after u eat your carbs so u may not be causing major insulin/blood glucose swings like you would during a CKD but you still are replenishing glycogen. as for carb intake during a TKD i would stick with around 50-75 grams of carbs both pre and post workout but make sure your taking in simple high GI carbs like dextrose rather then a lower GI carb like brown rice. Also you shouldn't eat any fat with your carbs so the rice and cheese thing would not be ideal

TKD is a lot healthier, long term. You can have fruits/potassium every day PWO whereas on CKD, all that only comes on one day out of the week. Potassium defiency is huge on CKD. The supplements only give you 3% of your daily value, so thats a big problem.

Ive done both. The tkd keeps you pumped up but when compared to the ckd for fat loss, it is almost useless. After being on the ckd and switching to the tkd and staying in a deficit, I gained fat. I gained strength as well though. I think the tkd would be a better choice for someone who was trying to maintain.
working on explosive phase vertical: 35 weight: 206 Big 3: 300/440/515 Strength and growth come only through continuous effort and struggle.

Well I'm setting at 13% right now and it's getting harder for me to cut fat. I've been doing CKD and dropped from 20% to 13% and now I want to hit around 6 or 7% at around 160. I'll probably stick with CKD thanks guys
