It seems from what the label reads that it contains a bit of Whey protein and Casein(not 100% sure though). Optimum nutrition (ON) makes a Casein Protein.

Syntha 6 is a protein blend of caseinates, whey concentrates/isolates, and I believe some egg proteins as well. For just Casein, ON 100% Casein is exactly what the label says. However, I prefer syntha personally.

i dont take syntha-6 but truemass instead as protien supplements (just cause it has the calories) and it has the same make up with the difference in a few things (one being carb content) but as pearl said its a blend of casein, whey, and egg protiens which supposedly give your body protien over a longer duration

Yeah the syntha 6 feeds the body and muscles up to 7hrs, same as the lean dessert, and true mass for 12hrs. Its better to take the truemass right after your workout, and take syntha throughout the day..

Just like the name suggests it's a blend of 6 protein sources. Whey isolate, whey concentrate, two kinds of casein, egg, and milk protein. The "sustained release" is just because of the extra fiber in there.
