Symmetry in Pecs! - Monday, March 23, 2009 8:40 PM ( #1 )
i'v been working out about 4 days a week for a couple months and am starting to see results but my right pec is not growing at the same rate as my left.   i know this is a farely common problem but after searching the net i havent been able 2 find a legit answer to how 2 solve this.   i think it may have something 2 do with the fact that my right side is stronger since i'm a righty and played baseball 4 ten years.  my shoulder and other arm muscles must be taking away some of the weight which doesnt allow my right pec to work out as much as my left.  i'v tried doing a few extra reps with the right side only but it doesnt seem to make that much of a difference,  please help

Work both sides evenly. Check your form, but most likely you will have to get over it.

since u r a right hander, prolly u do hard work with ur right and further on train the right hand againg. maybe u r over-training and not giving enough time to grow. just my guess..

u r in high school?

i dont think over training is the issue, because when i did the same work with both sides i had the problem,  working the right side more was just an attempt to fix the problem,  and yea i'm a senior in high school

Isolate your left side for awhile. Focus on the underdeveloped side for a few good weeks. Work hard and stay patient (It can be frustrating, Same problem here)...at this point it's your best shot to just work hard and even them out with the dumbells.

Focus on one arm to even things out. This usually happens especially if your work and other activities are being formed much on the other hand.
