Supplements for the fat man.... - Tuesday, October 11, 2005 5:39 PM
haha just joking on the title.

Anyways, Ive posted a little bit on here and now that school is going and im back on track I got about 5 months to seriously get in shape. Im about 180 standing 5'9 with my guess of 17-18% body fat. I max bench around 180 and havent tried max squat due to my knees are somewhat weak. I am playing lacrosse in spring and want to be top grade A. I have always been against creatine but im starting to think about it, but if it puts fat on my body I dont want to touch it. Im looking to get quick and be in good condition. I am thinking up a schedule for conditioning and weight lifting. Any tips will help with supplements.

If lean is what you want, just get on a low carb protein shake, and have a low carb diet, add in some cardio and there you go, dont expect to gain alot of muscle though. IF you really want you could get a weight loss supplement, though im not sure those work, never tried em.

What would creatine do for me? As much as I was against it, it keeps popping in my head.

creatine would would make you look puffier, but it would increase your ATP which gives you more powerful bursts of energy, but i would touch creatine untill you start to Bulk up, and right now you want to slim down

Although alot of people advised me against using creatine while i slimmed down, i did it anyway.  2 months later i'm down 20lbs.  I can't tell you exactly how much lean muscle mass i've gained because i have indeed lost fat pounds, but i would estimate between 5 and 10 lbs of lean muscle mass through vigorous workouts, supplementing (creatine, whey, glutamine, vitamins) and healthy eating... not even strict dieting.  I just eat alot of protein and keep my food organic.  The point is, you can still lose weight on creatine, but maybe not as fast.  Creatine probably helped motivate me, and now i'm looking bigger and more cut than ever.

Im very instrested in what creatine and vitamins you were taking. How much did you take each day etc. If you could let me know that would be great and even before/after pics if you have any and want to post them..

Thanks Jon

There's nothing inherently wrong with creatine or any other supplements. They can help you achieve your goals faster if you know what you're doing.
