Supplements...??? - Monday, July 27, 2009 8:55 PM ( #1 )
Okay so for 2 months I been training like crazy.

Mon - Fri
Mon Chest
Tues Legs
Weds Back
Thurs Core
Fri Arms

(Cardio 45 minutes everyday Walking and Jogging)

I do anywhere from 1400 to 2200 Calories a day. Some days I am just not hungry. Everyday I do at least one protein shake and I take two Mega Men vitamins a day seperately also I do creatine one week on one week off no loading (so I been on it 4 times each time a week strait)

I also cut ham not even lean ham only chicken and turkey tons of veggies and only water also do low fat cottage cheese or yogurt at times. (other than that I wont eat ****)

But I havent lost 1 effin pound!!! WTF is the problem? I noticed my protein has calories and so does my creatine do I really need to take this stuff? Oh and I havent lost any body fat either according to my caliper testing each week.

What am I doing wrong? I have mad definition in my arms and I feel great but im still a freakin fat whack.

Everywhere I go they say protein is good for before and after workouts but is it really necessary are any supplements really necessary?

Sorry if it sounds like I am ranting but Geez I quit smoking and put on like 20 pounds on top of the 30 or so pounds I was already over weight. I played sports my whole life and I can still run the 40 yard dash in 4.6 so whats the deal here?

You need to work out the amount of calories you need to intake to maintain your current weight and subtract 500, then make sure you eat that many calories each day. No skipping meals, skipping meals means your body stores food, essentially storing fat, incase it has to miss another meal.

Also going 1 week on/1 off with the creatine is pointless because it takes at least that just to get into the cycle, so as soon as your body starts to adapt to it you cut the cycle and restart the process.

an 800 cal spread is quite a bit. Track every bite of food for a few days on fitday.com and see how it works out. Then like it was said, subtract about 500 cal from that and thats what you eat per day. See how your protein, fats and carbs work out on fitday and post it here. Doing those things has made a world of difference for me.
