Supplements at night?
-
Wednesday, April 11, 2007 5:27 AM
Im currently taking Muscle Milk before i go to bed at night. My goal is to have nice abs. Will the Muscle Milk at night hinder my goal and add unwanted body fat?

From everything I have read it is good fat. There are lean fats and bad fats. The fats in muscle milk actually help you burn your fat. That is my understanding. I was on MM and gained only lean weight.

it depends on your body type and metabolism, and your cardio program. Post those and we can better answer the original question.

There are leaner options as far as pre-bed supplements. ON 100% Casein, any Micellar Casein or Whey/Casein blend.

Since you have a pretty fast metabolism, you don't need to worry too much about the leaner options and I bet taking 1 scoop of MM before bed will really boost your gains, provided you are using an effective lifting routine.

I combined MM (after workouts at night) and a good low fat diet for a period of about 6 months and got leaner and more defined than I had ever been. IMO don't let the fat and caloric content of MM scare you off. Seems to work as described.

It says on the back of most muscle milk or gainer products to take one before bed to help the muscles grow but how much calories do you burn while sleeping?
