Supplement help please! - Tuesday, May 08, 2007 5:16 PM
I'm brand new at this and I'm about to get started with a new exercise routine, it's one I found on bodybuilding.com, and my goal is pretty much to add as much muscle/size as I can within the next 3 months. I feel comfortable with the exercises, and I took the last week to go slowly through the workouts to make sure I knew the techniques (esp. squats and deadlifts) but I want to make sure I'm using the best supplements I could be (if you're going to do it, do it the right way is what I figure).

I just came off a few months of 2x/day cardio and diet to get my eating right and I dropped 35-40 lbs, so I don't think diet or work ethic is going to be an issue.

Right now I'm taking NO2 Black (MRI) and Leukic (MuscleTech) in the morning with a 12-hour release protein shake with added Glutamine and multi-vitamin, More NO2 Black before lunch (I just follow the packaging instructions), Whey Protein shake/Creatine/Leukic before workout, Whey Protein shake/Creatine/Glutamine after workout, and 12-hour release protein shake with added Glutamine before bed. I've also been trying to get 2 other protein shakes in while at work to make sure I get enough protein, and I usually mix fiber in with those.

Right now I'm 6'4" 250 and not a good 250, so I have quite a bit of work ahead of me. A fat burner would be nice but I don't need an appetite suppressant, I have enough will-power to do that on my own, and I prefer it that way.

Any suggestions on how I can make this better??

Hmm Dont use sups much myself other than Protein powder. For me, return vs investment doesnt make it worthwhile.

I have found I dont need them. As long as your diet is top notch (6 meals) and your workouts stimulating enough then you will grow as long as you have a calorie surplus. Diet and Workout = 90%+ of the equation so Id start there first. Especially if youre a beginner. Get into it and then try heavy supps when/if you hit a plateau.

Looks like youre already gulping down enough supps to help along. Perhaps others who have tried these supps can better advise.
