Only take a supplement if you body lacks it. Don't stack up on supplements if you don't need it, that can be dangerous. Just do thing's the natural way, take protein/carb drinks, eat well, and take vitamins. You can get great gains by doing things the normal way, and you'll be able to keep your gains and not have to live off of supplements to maintain it.
