Supplement Formula for the over 50 Crowd

Hi Guys, Soliciting opinions as to the merits of some supplements to counteract the slow down of our " hormonal" clocks. This is what I was able to ascertain so far. ZMA DIM Nettle Anti-aromtase (6-OXO) DHEA Avena Sativa Tribulus I' ve also read that cruciferous vegetables are also contributive in this area. Having blood work performed my first blood test revealed a testosterone level of 350 (age 52). I went on a ZMA regimen (five weeks) and had another test performed and came in at 425. Whether this improvement was due to ZMA is speculative at best. However, I was told that if I consumed a head of broccoli a day it would help to alter the estrogen/testosterone balance in favor of the latter. While this was a radical approach I was desperate to try anything to help restore my hormonal levels. After a six week regimen of consuming a head of raw broccoli a day I had another blood test performed. This time my testosterone level was at 650. I was quite excited about the latest read out but the prospect of continuing the broccoli diet was not that appealing so I went to the use of DIM the ingredient contained in cruciferous vegetables responsible for hormonal influence. I' ve not had any subsequent blood tests to determine DIM' s effects. But I thought perhaps the use of DHEA and a anti-aromatase such as 6-OXO would enhance levels even more. I was worried about the possibility of DHEA being suppressive similar to the pro-hormone market, something I don' t want to mess with. Thanks for any feedback or suggestions

It' s possible to comment on a few of those. ZMA is taken every night, but it' s doubtful it does anything. It seems like a scam supplement. But it' s cheap. Nettle is cool. That Prostate PHC product by Universal is A-OK. 6OXO is probably pretty good after a PH cycle. But too expensive to use alone. Got a bottle of Tribex 500 and all it did was make me mean. No real benefit. One thing that really works is liver tablets. They' re cheap too.

ORIGINAL: Guest Got a bottle of Tribex 500 and all it did was make me mean. No real benefit. Isn' t that the truth, I have to remind myself I am using it and to chill. Without being tested I assumed it was raising my test level which was the desired affect.

ZMA was a gimick for me. Although it did help with bowel movements. Other then that, noticed nothing at all.
