Strech Marks, please help !
-
Saturday, January 13, 2007 8:05 AM
Hey everyone, I posted about my stretch marks a month or two ago... The stretch marks are pretty big and on the inner sides of my biceps, and they tend to be either pink or reddish depending on the day. I've been on a gaining diet/workout routine and I know that the reason I have them is from gaining too much weight too fast. I've asked a few ppl from where I live, all say that there is no way to make them go away. They also said that I'd have to wait 6-12 months before they heal. I've been thinking about start doing strength workouts to stop the fast gains in hopes to stop the stretch marks, they look pretty bad and Im afraid of what they will look like if I keep gaining bulk. Does anyone have any further insight to this? My goal is to have them diminish as much as possible, hopefully faster than a year. I dont want to stop working out, but I can do strength/cardio instead of bulking if I have to. Thanks in advance.

If they bother you that much go get them lasered. They will fade over time, but you are always going to see them. I wouldnt compromise my lifting because of stretch marks. Just bulk up to where you want to be and them get them removed. Lasers are the only proven method.

coco butter, but they will not go away... I would suggest that if your growing at that right.. you may want to lather up every morning.. or several hours before you workout. Just like a prego women expand at a crazy rate... this has worked wonders for my wife.. Palm's Coco Butter.

Weird, I just bought some cocoa butter myself. I've had these stretch marks for about 2 years now on my shoulder blades, but I am going to start using the butter, hope it fades them a bit. Just like you, the stretch marks on my bicep turn redish/pinkish. By the way, is it possible to get them if you are overworking the muscle? I dont think my bicep grew, but I have no way of checking from 2 years ago.

like everyone else said stretch marks dont go, they are scars, like any scars they may become less obvious as time goes on but they will always be present no matter what, thats if nothing is done to remove them.

high grade vitamine E cream for prevention and for the ones you have. Response is variable between individuals but try it, won't hurt. Linda

Look into Strivectin, It's supposedly the bomb. Other than that, go with the Vitamin E ointment or cream. There's even a Cocoa butter/Vitamin E cream out, I believe.
