 Strange Weight Issue

Strange Weight Issue - Thursday, November 23, 2006 12:34 AM
Okay, Im 17. 6Foot tall. I weigh in at 145 and I have no complaints about it. Im just kinda confused. Im really strong for my size which comes in really handy because Im a boxer. But still, I have friends who are much smaller than me in muscle and size yet they only weigh like five pounds less. I've always been really skinny and I have small bones.
But I've been putting on alot of muscle and I've hardly gained any weight.
I did move up 155 at a small point in time. Then I shot back down. I didnt get small, I didnt lose any fat or muscle. I duno what it is but I just dont gain weight.
I have a 40inch chest and a 29inch waist. I just dont get it.
 
Does anybody else have something similiar going on? Or do you know what could be the cause of it? I dont mind it, really. I just want to know why Im like this and if there are other people like this or if its just me.
 
I eventually want to weigh in at 185 but at this rate I'd be a monster by the time I got to weighing in at that.

haha thats kinda a funny post, i would try to calculate your calorie intake if i were u and see whats right for you to gain wieght. if you dont gain any weight the first week then increase your calories by 10% each week until you start to make gains. just wondering, u say ur really strong for ur size so how much can u bench, squat and deadlift?

I've posted that in another thread but I'll post it here anyways. I dont do squats though. I have rough knees and I dont intend on screwin up any more. lol.
I dont have a dead lift bar either so I couldnt tell you that one.
But I can give you a hint at it. I started lifting at 15 and I wasnt strong at all. I figure because my body was still developing height wise. Anyways, back then I could do 200.
I've worked out my legs and gotten alot higher lift factor and overall strength.
Soo, just guessing I would say around 400. Probably less. But thats as close as a guess that I can give. We had an issue with that guess in another thread. Thats why Im explainin all that BS, lol.
 
Anyways, my bench max is 240. My friend is also like this , he weighs the exact same and his bench max is 235 and Im sure he'll catch up with me any day now, lol..

Thanks, I dont really monitor what I eat. I just eat healthy whenever I want and I pack a few extra protein bars or health bars in there whenever I work out.
 
Alot of people in my school last year were benching heavy weight. Alot of them were on steroids and I knew some were but I didnt know that the other ones were.
So I pushed myself really hard, and I had the bar set pretty high so I guess thats why Im where Im at today. I think Im pretty lucky too, it seems that I got a great body with the least amount of effort from alot of people who are on the forum.
Although I do put in alot of effort, I dont think its as much as alot of other ppl on here.
But I keep pushing myself harder and harder and soon it probably will be.
 
But back to my issue...
