whoa... I somewhat agree with you.. but hmm not in those words.. :o) But then again, it looks like a good tactic right now to use against the Canucks. There still isnt an official report on his injuries. You got the best spinal doctors in the U.S. And not one has given a formal report.

God damn Mike... Burtuzzi's apology was NOT sincere, you are just a fan of his, and you cannot see ANYTHING from ANYONE elses point of view. He broke his FREAKIN NECK!!! I would'nt apologize to him either, burtizzi is the bitch, not moore. It is his first press conference since the incident, what the hell do you want? Why the hell should Moore forgive him? "Gee, even though you were a pussy and attacked me from behind, broke me neck, and ended my career, that is ok, all is forgiven" NO! Mike, you are NEVER going to get it!! What do you want Moore to do, WALK IT OFF??? Unbe-****in-leavable

Mike, In order to refrain from "personal attacks", I will make this as diplomatic as possible. I find your constant defense of Bertuzzi and attacks on Moore to be distateful, and I question your moral reasoning on the subject. You remind me of some fans of Kobe Bryant who persist in calling his (alleged) victim names. Since there is no point in trying to chage your attitude on the subject, I'm not going waste any more keystrokes.

Jesus H... Mike look, I'm sure I'm not out of line when saying this but... All your doing, keeping on this subject, is showing more and more of your ignorance. Look, we get it, you like him and that influences your views. WE'RE NOT GOING TO FEEL THE SAME WAY! Jesus, drop it ok!? Continual displays of ignorance is NOT a way to show what you know. Just STFU and quit talking about this subject.

quote:
ORIGINAL: MikeOO17 But publicly ducking an appoligy is something you'd expect from a kid in elementary school, not a professional athlete. Mike, I'm chiming in here once and then I'm out. Exactly why does Moore HAVE to accept, or even recognize, Bertuzzi's appology? 1) Fact: Moore was sucker punched with no chance to defend himself. 2) Fact: Moore was knocked unconscious and was unable to brace his fall. 3) Fact: Bertuzzi rode Moore down to the ice and either purposely or accidentally caused Moore's forehead to drive into the ice. 4) Conjecture: This is the most likely cause of Moore's fractured vertebrae. 5) Fact: Moore is now facing a DRAMATICALLY increased risk of paralysis. This is due to the fact that the 2 vertebrae will NEVER be as strong as they were before the injury. No one can quantify this increased risk, but unlike a broken arm or leg, if those vertebra fracture again, Moore could suffer paralysis or even death. 5) Educated Conjecture: Moore is more than likely done as a professional hockey player. He MAY play again but the odds are dramatically against it. 6) Educated Conjecture: Moore is 25 years old and was looking at a career that would at least last another 5-7 years and will lose a significant income if he never plays again. Now given those items, explain to me WHY Moore is required to accept Bertuzzi's appology? Sure it could be perceived by some as a classy move or an insincere acceptance. But would you? Especially considering the short time that has passed since the injury and that Moore probably has no certain idea if he will ever play again? It boils down to this Mike: Others have pointed out that you seem to be reacting emotionally on this issue and that no opposing point of view or opinion is valid. Paul

Its poor form is all I'm saying. It takes a big man to forgive and forget. It doesnt take any kind of man to hold a grudge. Someone said he's 25. Thats a good point because he obviously hasnt been in the league long enough to know the natural flow of these cases. Cheap shot on star player Redemption on the ice Get on with life You know, if Moore had appoligized for his hit on Naslund, I dont think any of this would have happened. Instead, the Colorado team passed it off as if it was nothing, further escalating the problem. I also know for a fact that Naslund would have taken his appoligy in stride and called off the firing squad. Moore is only snowballing this incident by allowing it to drag on and it's doing nothing for hockey. It was obviously a bad mark on hockey's growing rap sheet, but theres no reason to prolongue this any further. In my opinion, Moore is simply enjoying his 15 minutes of fame, because his hockey career wasnt going to take him there! And I can guarantee you he wont get there if keeps up this attitude. He said several times in his press conference that he was being optimistic. If he's so optimistic, why is he doubting his comeback into the National Hockey League. Players have come back from far more adverse situtions than a 3 month neck brace. If Moore ever wants to play again, he will. But don't play it out like he can't bounce back from this. Once again, it was poor form!
