Just registered with the forum a few minutes ago, although I've been reading this site the past couple of weeks. Just a new member saying hi!

Anyways, I have a few questions concerning:

- diet for putting on healthy weight? (I've got a very low body fat %, so no worries about cutting down fat intake)
- abdominal and back workouts? (All I know are the basic crunches)
- any other tips you can think of for a newbie at the gym

I'm 16, 5'11" tall, and 128lbs. Got a membership to a sweet gym about a month ago and as soon as exams end im starting up a nice routine that should be able to make me put on some muscle; I've got no worries about cutting fat and lots of time on my hands this summer, so I hope to make every visit to the gym intense and worthwhile.

advice is greatly appreciated,
Thanks :)

Diet...eat a lot of fruits and veggies and as much ratio minded protein as you can. Ab workouts, the cruch, the side oblique cruch, the weighted cruch the russian twist, the lower ab cruch (have someone stand over you holding your feet in the air, take a 15 Lb medicine ball and go up to touch your feet). Back exercises, Lat pull down, pull up, T-bar rows, deadlift, goodmornings, shrugs, the macheiene whose name I never knew, but love to use, its the one where you sit in it, and push your back against it and you go backwards, for you middle back, and low lat pulls. Being the newbie at the gym isnt easy unless your the biggest guy there, I got lucky..lol, maybe you will be too, I dont know if you've ever worked out before, my best advice is to never get discouraged when you see people bigger than you, they work out alot more than you do, just give it some time and you'll catch up and have people go into the gym seeing you being all big and bad...lol. Oh yeah, always have a spotter. Goodluck bro, peace.
