Creation 13 is so young to be lifting heavy weights in my opinion it can mess with ure growth plates.... why not just stick to body weight excercies...running, burpees, pull ups, push ups, close grip push ups, chin ups, squat jumps Because that is false, that is why.

Well guys, it's been a while. Today, I got in the weight room. Benched, Squatted, Leg/neck exercises, all felt great. Haven't lost much strength at all. Ran a mile and half, gonna do the same tomorrow as well. Took multi, protein shake, and fish oils. I'm back. Tomorrow I'm looking to bump up my squat bout 20 lbs. It's looking good. I,ll keep you guys updated.

Haven't been on here in a while...dunno why. Anyways for the past 2 and a half weeks or so I have been lifting at the weight room at school. Doing whatever I can. We do lots of running each morning so its pretty good. Weights end tomorrow, so after that I am going to get back on my own personal weight routine at home. Just ran a mile and a half bout an hour ago. Can't wait for friday saturday and sunday- countryfest...best part of the year. Since the weight room is much better @ school and squatting is easier there, I'm going to try to squat 135 tomorrow. Normally I do 100ish with pretty much ease. But I have scoliosis, so it makes it more difficult. But gonna study playbooks, work on abs, lift, run, and get in shape for football. Camp sstarts July 14th!

Sorry I haven't been on in a few days. But, the last day of weights at the high school went great. I squatted 135 2x10. It was pretty good. To get in the high school program, you have to be able to squat 145 2x10, which with me having another full year before high, will be easy. But since then i haven't worked out much I'm starting back up today or tomorrow. We had our community picnic called the country fest which was huge yet again. Now to connelly- Right now I pretty much have a lock on cornerback. Most likely I'll be moved to safety, cause our coach watches film all the time... and during one of my games it was the first time I started at safety. I got two interceptions then. So most likely i'll be there. I know I posted a while back saying I'd like to try for weakside LB but that was maybe a little too ambitious. But, my broken finger was really holding me back. Also I played baseball last week (finally). I went 2/2 and also had a walk. Since it was the last game before tournament, my batting average for the season was 1.000. Lol. But anyways I gotta go. Stats: 5'4" 105lbs.

Yesterday's workout was short. What I did was: Lat Pulls 3 x 10 (50Lbs) Reverse Grip Lat Pulls 2 x 10 "" BB Curls 3 x 10 (40lbs) really sucked though Deadlift 2 x 10 (70lbs deadlifts are hard with my finger) Leg Curls 1 x 15 (45) Band exercises 2 x 10 x 2 OH Press 2 x 5 don't remember weight Hopefully today I will acutually go and run.

You should be pretty beastly by the time you graduate high school dude. I started at your age, but I never stuck with it until about 3 years ago. You have come a pretty good ways since I last checked in on your journal.

Stats: 5'4" 105lbs. I take it your going into 8th grade right? I was 2 inches taller and 5 lb. heavier last year and played corner..it's a really fun position I can't really comment on safety although you do seem a little small for safety, but if you get a good work ethic this young you can do anything (and i actually mean that, within reason don't expect to go pro).If I were you I would focus on bulking up a little but atleast around here speed gets you noticed. There was a guy that was probably your height and a little lighter that started at corner although he was terrible at football. He got benched a few games in after the coach realized he couldn't tackle or catch and wasn't great at covering. But he runs a legit 4.6-4.7 40 and was only in 7th grade. And he was legit I wouldn't beleive it unless I saw it but his dad was a LB for the Cowboys and his mom was a US track sprinter. But anyways looks like your on the right track just keep it up and stay healthy.

Man, this is impressive. I started lifting in 7th for football, but never really made a habit of it. I started to get serious in the middle of 8th. It changed my life. Now, I'm going into 9th grade stronger than I could've dreamed when I was an obese, short kid. Keep at it man. Also, even though your bulking, eat good, whole foods. Don't load yourself with crap.

Yeah, going into freshman. I did football in 8th. It was really fun, but I had to make the choice to stay in football, or leave. I decided to leave. Even though I like the sport, its not what drives me. And trust me, if your living in Texas, playing football, it HAS to drive every moment of your life. I was a center. Backup B-team :( I was WAY to samll to be playing on the line, yet I was too slow to do much else. My stats are: Bench:130 Squat: Can't do them due to an injury on kneecap Deadlift: Same as squat Incline: 110-115 I weigh 131, 5'5-5'6

Yeah trust me conelly, i'm not expecting to go pro. Thanks for all the comments. Yesterday was pretty good.(I've been doing my normal lifts as well but my computer wasn't workin so I couldn't post them, and I forget them.) Here's yesterdays workout: BB Curl 3 x 10 (40) OH Press 3 x 10 (40) Pec Dec 1x 15 (50) Lat pulls 2 x 10 (50) Reverse Lat pulls (60) Machine pushdown things 2 x 10 DB Clean and Press 2x5 (per side) (20) DB Curl 2x5 (per side) (20) Leg Extension 3 x 10 (80) Leg Curl 1 x 15 (45) Also, I posted that i would squat 135 the one day and never said how it went. My legs were shaking at first but hell, it was pretty easy. Yesterday I timed my mile run. Don't have an exact length it was between 1 and 1.25 miles. But my time was 10:03. Which i guess is decent. Also, I don't play football in texas guys. I'm from a small town in ohio. Only Junior High. We have a small team so i'm guaranteed a spot. And Junior high football isn't huge around here, so the competition level is nothing compared to down there. Just wanted to clear that up. The other day i also got some cheap creatine, since i'm out on whey. I'll switch to that for a while.

Yesterday I went swimming again. After that I went on a run. Ran 1 mile in 9:11. Wednesday is the big mile and a half for football. I should be ready. At night i had a very quick workout cause i had to go to bed. It was like this: DB Press 2 x 10 -DBs-21lbs each SLDeadlift 1 x 10-86 lbs Pec Deck 1 x 10- 50 Lat Pulls/Reverse 2 x 10-50 Tricep extension 1 x 10 Machine pushdowns 1 x 10 Took me maybe 10 minutes. Finally ordered my football cleats, so they'll be comin in the mail in bout a week and a half.

You sure that your only running a mile? To be a smaller guy you should be under 7 minutes. I was at a 6 flat in 7th grade, but never really got into track. But distance doesn't really matter for football anyways. What do you have to run the mile and a half in? We have a conditioning test where we have to do a 300m run in under 41.

Well i don't know its a little over a mile. But you ran a mile in 6 minutes? Were you like the fastest in your grade? Cause I really ain't that fast. And my endurance isn't that great either. The fastest someone in my grade could probably get would be like 7 or something... Because our fastest mile and a half was like 12:30 or something, and i got in the 15s(I sucked). So I have gotten better but 9's is bout what I'm getting in a mile. Plus it isn't a flat track...i run on the roads and up my driveway and stuff. I don't know.

^We don't have a set limit...because we always have extremely out of shape lineman who haven't ever ran a mile and a half in their lives... so they've gotten like 17 18s..and one last year didn't even finish it. Workout today: (Arms and some compound lifts) Deadlift 2 x 10 86 - for some reason dead lifting has been sucking at my house...I have a standard set not olympic so that has something to do with it...kind of like how you were saying benching at school is always different connelly. DB Press 2 x 10 21lbs each Bench 1 x 10 68lbs...yet again it was harder than usual. Bicep lat pulls 2 x 60lbs Tricep extension 1 x 10 60-70lbs? Machine push downs 1 x 10 60-70? Leg extension 2 x 10 90lbs DB Clean and OH Press 1 x 5 x 2 21lbs Band exercises 1 x 10 x 4

I lucked up and set the school record for the mile run, I was 5'7" 125lbs and ran it in 4 minutes and 48 seconds, the original record was 4 minutes 53 seconds.

I haven't posted in a while so here it goes: DB Press 2 x 10 21lbs Bench 1 x 10 68lbs OH Press 1 x 10 40lbs BB Curl 1 x 10 40lbs Lat Pulls 2 x 10 50-60 lbs Leg Extension 1 x 10 90lbs Leg Curl 1 x 10 45lbs Tricep Extension 1 x 15 Pushdowns 1 x 10 Also since my cousin came over I screwed around a little with the weights. My machine for leg extension can go to 140 and so i did that 2 sets 5 reps...and i was fairly stable its not like I shaking and struggling to get it up. And we tried deadlift max and i got i think 132 or something? But with my weight set its not easy to deadlift, being a small and old fashioned standard non-olympic set. And today was the start of football. That means the mile and a half. I did much better than last year. I got 11:56 PR as my time. It went pretty good. But we have this kid in our grade named ross reichert and he set the record with 10:07...like 40 seconds faster. He's a really strong farmer boy....the strongest in our grade. And oh yeah, he's a lineman. Lol.

CreaOtine That's nice. There's a kid in our grade who can run his mile in 4:30 flat maybe.. And no 13 I wasn't the fastest, fastest was like 5:15, my mile is probably about the same as 7th grade since I didn't do track last year. I'm working on speed more 40 time in the 4.8 range would be nice.

It's good to see so many young guys on here ages 13 and etc. interesting in learning about principals of resistance training; if I knew when I was 13 what I know now I'd be in much better physical condition. 4:30 mile run is phenomenal speed though, my PB was 4:48 (high school record). Good luck with your training and goals.

CreaOtine connelly CreaOtine That's nice. There's a kid in our grade who can run his mile in 4:30 flat maybe.. Pinkie swear. Tall, lanky asian kid. I'm not saying I don't beleive you..its just thats an extremely fast time. What grade are you in? It's definitly possible its just i've only seen a couple sub 5 miles in middle school and the area I live in is one of the best athletic areas on the east coast (all the way from college sports-peewee football haha) and definitly the best place in the state. But that is awesome for the kid. Didn't you say you lived in texas? I can see that texas is insane.

Yeah, I kinda wanted the pinkie swear part to be kind of a joke. But yeah, he's insane. He does nothing but track. He's like #1 or 2 in 2400m in district. Yeah, I'm in Texas. Its cool being surrounded by jacked up people like there are here, but once you realize your never going to be as big and fast as them, it sucks lol. But yeah, I'm in the #2 football area in Texas. Pretty insane
