Traps should probably be with shoulders or back. Some people do back/bis and chest/tris, while some do bis and tris together (which would put you at a 5 day split). Also, I wanted to point out that Straight Leg Deadlifts are more of a hamstring exercise, while regular Deadlift work the lower back, glutes, etc.

Personally, I always advise against triceps and chest, and biceps and back being done together. Tris and pecs are both used during bench presses, so your tris will be a little weaker when you go to work them, and vice versa- The same thing goes for back and bis. Try doing chest on Tuesday, legs and shoulders on Thursday, and biceps and triceps on Friday.

i think its a better idea to workout at the gym until you totally find out that working out is the thing for you... especially cause you're going in with so much energy... its people that dive in that like 5 days a week that are more likely to quit when they don't see results than those that start slow. so i really think it be a better idea if you tried a gym out, you will not have to spend so much money on equipment, you will have a better idea of what equipment to buy, and how to use it, especially because you will have a spotter, he can help you with form and save you if you die out...after all you are just starting out..

LOL... i never planned on siging up for the GYM even though there is one 10 minutes away that two of my friends go to for $30 a month... I think its better to buy a machine once ( like I did already) and use it (like i have been) Instead of spending $300 dollars every year I spent about $250 once.

A lot of gyms that i have checked out have a 100+ registration fee (not sure about NY) and that makes a month to month membership expensive. Say it is 30 a month, then if you were only to go 3 months, that 190 bucks or 63 a month. you are more than half way to the 250 by then. As long as you have the workout plan, like you said you did, give it a try.
