I'm a fan of rippetoe and 5x5 style taining. However I want to split the major lifts into different days so I can focus on just that one lift. What do ya'll think of this? Monday Squats- 5x5 Cleans- 5x1 Tuesday Bench- 3x5 Board Presses- 5x3 Close grip bench- 3x5 Wednesday Deadlifts- 3x5 or 5x3 Rows- 3x5 Pullups- 3x5 Thursday Bench- 3x5 Board Presses- 3x5 Dips- 3x5 Friday Squats- 5x3 Cleans- 5x1 Saturday Bench- 5x5 Closegrip bench-3x10 Standing OH Press-3x5
Old Lifts: Bench-335, Squat-455, Deadlift-495 New lifts: Bench-375, Squat-545, Deadlift- 585 Strongest 17year old on DBB

way too much lifting, not enough rest. Benching 3 times a week? Put the deads and squats together, they compliment each other well.
Bench- 315 Squat- 345 Dead- 515 Total- 1175

I like it.. It's very similar to the routine I"m doing right now..
There is never enough time to do everything, but there is always enough time to do the most important thing

Chalky Palms way too much lifting, not enough rest. Benching 3 times a week? Put the deads and squats together, they compliment each other well. Each body part has at least 48 hours in between, enough for me. I know my body benching 3 times a week is about perfect, I've experimented with 1,2, and 3 days a week and 3 works best. For me squats and deads should not go together. Squats tax my back too much for deadlifts to get the work it needs.
