You could do a couple things, idk really know how your routine goes but you could

squat monday
deadlift wednesday
squat friday

or do both each day, but youll be a little fatigued for the second so like

squat then deadlift monday
deadlift then squat wednesday
squat then deadlift friday

I workout 4 days a week, deadlift twice and squat three times...

on a day that i do both in the same workout the first one (squats) will be a 5x3 with really heavy weight and wont really fatigue me much.  Higher reps even with less weight will burn you out alot more for other exercises than lower reps with more weight.  Not telling you to change w/e your doing but just so you know and if your squatting/deadlifting for power do it first.

what r u training for mav?  size.. strength?

it would be cool if you could get both in on the same day, but this just isn't possible sometimes.   stones' idea seems like an ok one to me.    i assume you're going to put other exercises in with squats/deads right?

Pumping the iron, moving the lead.  I hope all the attention I get doesn't go to my head.

Your routine is kinda interesting IMO.

I just try to go heavy and alternate between deadlifts and squats.

I'd be careful deadlifting 3 times a week.  Heavy deadlifts can be very taxing on your body and can lead to.....dare I say it....gulp....overtraining.  Seriously.

Try squatting either 2 or three times a week and deadlift every other workout or once a week even.

Deadlifts are much more taxing then squats, which is why you can squat 3 times a week and be okay.

Try Rippetoe's routine:

Workout A:
squat - 3x5
OH press - 3x5
deadlift - 1x5

workout B:
squat - 3x5
bench - 3x5
power clean - 5x3

You can add chin-ups and dips and the end of the workouts too if you'd like.

Just alternate between workouts A and B, lifting 3 times a week.  Add weight to all lifts every workout, and it starts to get REALLY hard after a little while.
Squats are better than steroids
