Sorry, we don't carry child sizes... - Friday, April 18, 2008 11:06 AM ( #1 )
Question for the women.

I would have put this in the Equipment section, but there are at least half a dozen threads on gloves.

And I do need some gloves.

I've been trawling the Internet since I found out that small in local sports shop is...well, men's small. And my hands are large kiddy-sized, so there's a clear inch of glove flapping about. Not so ideal.

Do any of you ladies use gloves? If so, what kind?

I've been looking at these ones: http://www.future-physique.com/product/355 but they don't have a size guide, or these ones http://www.future-physique.com/product/352 because...well, they're washable (very important to me) and they look pretty funky.

I'm not shallow , I'm just fed up of having calluses on my calluses.

I have big bones and palms, I don't have the size problem. I use gloves only because me hands sweat alot when I lift and I am at home and can't use chaulk in my living room. I don't know what I have. I think they are just nike sport gloves of some kind, not lifting specific.

I would stay away from ones with gel insets, You need to feel the bar to be safe (my 2 cents), whether  your hands are gloved or not.

I ride I bicycle everyday, and had a pair of riding gloves with the gel, I would not want to lift with them, ever. (nice for riding though)

Also, I still have callouses even though I use gloves.

If you can check out bike shops, as they sell alot of half gloves, thta are sturdy, pad your hand a little, and usually lots of sizes to try. If there is a rock climbing supply anywhere near you,. you could try there as well.

Ooh, good idea. We have a Go Outdoors store quite near, I'm sure they have loads of gloves (they have every other possible thing under the sun!)

Ah, the search continues. :)

Thanks!
