I drink alot of coffee with x-cream, and tons of sugar. Should I drop the coffee and drink soda instead?

Not sure if this is an honest question........ If you could get rid of all of them it would be the best situation. Coffee black with stevia is the next best option.

It's a serious question. I have cut out fastfood. I haven't really noticed a big difference. I dropped soda too. I haven't dropped my java. I'm thinking that's a cause for my belly fat. The xcream and tons of sugar. I'm going to stop both. Thanks for your time. Will java with xcream and tons of sugar make me fat though?

There's nothing wrong with black coffee. The nutrient profile is so infinitesimal as to be virtually irrelevant. I get all the caffeine I "need" from 8 oz a day. I dropped soft drinks over ten years ago and believe me, I don't miss them. Today, sodas make me nauseous. It's like drinking pure sugar water laced with acid.

Actually, caffeine in coffee does spike insulin thus leading to fat storage, so there is something wrong with even plain black coffee unless its decaf.

Oh for Pete's sake. If you aren't getting a caloric surplus, the tiny insulin spike you're likely to get from the caffeine in 8 oz of coffee isn't going to amount to a milligram of fat storage. THINK, people. Lest you forget, insulin is also responsible for shuttling free form amino acids into cells (along with just about every other thing you want in there). I should also add: 1. Caffeine can improve your mental focus during a workout, and 2. it's mildly diuretic Both of which should more than compensate for any dreaded insulin spikes. Load your coffee with sugar and then we'll talk about meaningful insulin elevation.

Insulin spikes aren't really that bad after you train, and a constant insulin stimulation all day is going to keep you in an anabolic state all day long. Veg for the win on this one.

I actually put cinnamon in my grinder with my beans and let the machine mix it all in. Coffee should really be used at 2 times for training/cutting purposes. 1. First thing in the morning before cardio. Black, or with stevia. This timing is for increased energy and fat burning. 2. Pre-workout Black, or with stevia, or even milk would work here. This timing is for increased energy and mental focus.
