I havent been a fan of energy bars, protein bars or anything along the line of that. The main reason is the taste, its either chalk like or just plain crap. That was until i gave Snickers Marathon. I was hesitant at first but i thought i would give it a try (Chewy Chocolate Peanut). The first thing i noticed is that it has the same consistancy of all the other bars but the big difference was the taste. Now it doesnt taste like a regular snickers bar but it is damn good. It does have Partially hydrogenated soybean oil and high fructose corn syrup which i feel are not healthy ingredients but there is some good to it. There is a mixture of proteins (soy, whey, casein). The fat content is average at 7g with sat fat at 1.5g. Carbs(27g) and protein(13g) are average as well. there are 10 vitamins and minerals at 100% of daily value. There are 6 others floating around 25%-45%. Now with all that fun stuff aside, how does it measure up? I feel it does pretty well with energy as i can be hungry, eat one and be satisified for a few hours. Not bad. I give the Snickers Marathon Chewy Chocolate Peanut 4 out of 5 dumbbells.

I thought they taste pretty good too. Only thing I didn't like was the fat content. Seems a little high for such a small bar. Other then that, pretty good, and I've found they can be had for just under $1 at Walmart. Heh.
