Slimfast Weight Loss - Monday, June 30, 2003 1:18 PM
Question: I' ve seen in the past, and even as lately as yesterday, people chugging those SlimFast cans and believing that there' s something in the drink that makes them lose weight. Without doing any research, I just kind of laugh (quietly of course) at these people' s mentality... wouldn' t they be better off doing what I do and have a really high quality protein shake (by any quality manufacturer)?? I' d love to help these people (some are in our club) but don' t want to make too big of a deal out of it.

Yes, they would. Mostly, the shake is sugar. All it does is reduce overall kcals in ones diet by substituting a sugary but low cla shake for what was previously a sugary and fat-laden meal.

Exactly. FatFast, if you will, restricts the calories temporarily. Once one goes off the sugar shakes, they STILL don' t know how to eat and therefore will end up right back where they started.

Its amazing what people buy into.
