I've been working out on and off casually for years, have been going 4 nights a week for about 10 months, just found this site a few weeks ago. My training partner and I recently switched to nanovapor and anator for our pre and post work out supplementation. Prior to that we were using no-xplode, cellmass, whey, and creatine. I'm not looking to get much bigger than I am now, mainly tone and sculpt with only a bit more size. To get to the point, I'm getting tired of using supplements that have tons of extra stuff in them just to get the few that I'm interested in. I'm planning on ditching the anator and starting by setting up a new post routine. I'm going to stick with the nanovapor for now until i figure out a better solution that isn't just a bunch of caffiene I've done a bit of research and was just looking for some input on what I've come up with. As it stands now, this is what I'm planning post workout cell mass whey protein/smoothie creatine powder glutamine caps leucine caps dymatize super amino 4800(directly before bed) My main concerns are the possible effects of 2 different creatine types in the cellmass and creatine powder.(of which we have a huge tub to use already) I know there's debate about the effect of the cellmass but is there any harm in using it and creatine?(1 serving cellmass and 5g creatine powder, only post workouts) Also, what is the proper amount of leucine to intake? Most supplements seem to give around 7g per serving. The only pure leucine source I've found online has been the montiff leucine tablets, which are only 500mg. That's a lot of tablets if I need to take around 7g a day. Money is a concern so I'm planning to get generic versions of everything I can as long as it's not going to make a difference. Also, apart from pre and post workout the only supplements I take are multivitamin and fish oil. I try to keep my diet healthy.

Doesn't harm anything by taking both, except your wallet. Pointless to take two Creatines. Just stick with the monohydrate.

Ok, that was the other thing I was wondering. Like I said, I know that the benefits of the creatine in cellmass is disputed by a lot of people. I wasn't sure if (working with the assumption that it is beneficial) the two working together would increase the benefits

I'll do that. Any recommendations as far as a reasonable leucine intake?

Okay, I've done some more research and this is the routine I'm leaning toward to be more exact. workout days(4/week) morning megaman sport fish oil pre-workout green tea extract(500mg?) carnitine(1g?) whey protein(in water or low cal juice) workout approx. 45min weights(4/week) 30min cardio(2-3/week) post-workout whey protein(in fat free milk) leucine(3g?) glutamine(4.5g) before bed bcaa(dymatize super amino 4800) I'm unsure of the amounts on the ones that I have ?'s by so if anyone has some suggestions I'd appreciate it. I've done a forum search and a general search of the web but haven't found any solid amounts. For non-workout days I'm contemplating adding just the green tea extract and carnatine to my morning multi and fish oil.

Why BCAA before bed? I think complete protein chains are going to be much better.

It was recommended to me as a pre-bedtime supplement when I was looking for a casean(sp?) protein. Just to clarify my wrong info. The super amino isn't just bcaa. I could post the ingredients but there's quite a few. Also, I workout in the late evening so it's scheduled sort of like this. workout post workout supps w/in 1/2 and hour of workout light meal. something like tuna and rice. 12 hr to an hour of relaxing take the 4800 bed Any alternatives I should look at? Should I look into the casean instead?

All of you who take your BCAA's regularly, do me a favor. If you are taking BCAA's you best be taking your whey daily. Look at your whey DV chart. You see the BCAA's? There is no reason to buy pill-form BCAA's, they are already in your whey, and per serving, you are getting 3 times what the pills will give you.

Lord they are hot though, don't touch, I advise. But you are burned, and penalised, of course overdramatise and you get the prize. I am that boy baby girl and now I will end your 9 lives.

Of course I'm taking my whey, it's right there on the list of things I'm using. Like I said, the amino 4800 was recommended to me as a pre-bed supp. Then outoftowner questioned that and I looked around and, apart from the fact that there are ingredients in it that aren't "just" bcaa's, it seems that I would be better off taking it pre and post workout. I'm really just trying to get a simple approach to supplementation set up that doesn't include a bunch of junk I don't need. I'd really appreciate some suggestions instead of just having ideas knocked down.

Many tests and a lot of research has proven taking BCAA's in tablet or powder form on top of your daily protein shakes increases gains.

I personally do not like MuscleTech, CellTech, Six Star, because of all the extra sugars. You can get Monohydrate with fast digesting carbs to work just as well. Grape juice is a lot cheaper these days. I personally love Vitargo CGL by Nutrex, but then again you are looking at cost. Vitargo is sugarless carbs. You can buy Vitargo separate also. Kemistry makes a product called Leukix. They are not doing well and getting discontinued so you might be able to find it clearence somewhere. I carry it off and on, but do not currently have any. Glutamform by Primaforce is a good line of Glutamin. I am currently taking Acetyl L Carnitine by IDS, but have switched to Dymatize (mainly because of the price). I like the product, I take l carnitine before bed also. Good Luck

lern2swim, I wasn't just addressing you, I was addressing all forum members who will browse this post. Virtuoso, please link me to a study proving that, I have been told recently that it is totally worthless to buy any BCAA's, and when I did stop, I didn't notice any less gain from the curve I was already acheiving. Just more money was saved for my bodybuilding supplement budget to buy things like Thermo's and glutamine
