Simple chili - Sunday, March 19, 2006 8:44 AM ( #1 )
Ultimate  chili

1.5 pounds of very lean hamburger meat (if you have access to ground bison meat, even better) I can of kidney beans 1 can of tomato sauce 1 pack of McCormick chili mix (I like the hot variety) Brown your hamburger meat in a frying pan. After it is cooked, drain off the fat. Rinse the kidney beans (most brands have a kinda of goo in the can). Put the tomato sauce, rinsed beans in a pot and simmer. Add the chili mix and stir. Add the browned hamburger meat, and simmer on very low heat for 20 minutes.  Excellent source of protein and fiber.  A typical serving for me gives me 50 grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber.
