Water break. -Free throw swish. Three pointer-10 shots-5 corners -One bounce then shoot. -Spin pass then shoot. -Jab then shoot. Beat the rival- Start with 0, Make moves and take shots. Make shot, +1, miss shot, -1. Play until +10 or -10. If you lose you have to run suicides. Free throw swish- Start with 0, swish +1, non-swish basket +0, miss -1. Play until +10 or -10. If you lose you have to run suicides. Don't have the time to complete the shooting workout above? Try this... Pick 5 moves that WILL free up your jumpshot. Make 5 jumpers off of each move. Pick 5 moves that WILL get past your defender and allow you to penetrate. Make 5 short jump shots off each move. This workout should take no longer then 30 minutes, but is affective. Make sure that each move is done as close to perfection as you can do. If the move is not executed well, but you hit the shot, DO NOT count it!

Ever play around the world? Try this version. Start at the bottom of the key and work your way around it. 4 shots up the side, one foul shot, then the other 4 shots down the key. Make you way outward to the 3 point line. There will be only 5, 3 point shots. At the side, in between the corner and straight on, straight on, then the other medium, then the other corner. That is one half around the world. Then make your way back. The rules are the same, if you miss, you get a chance but thats it. Once you get half way around, you dont have to go back to the beginning if you miss your chance. You go back to that start of the way back or the half way point. The big change to the game is once you miss your chance, you go back to the beginning or half way point and you have to do 5 push ups. This will really test your shooting ability. By the time the game is over, you will barely be able to shoot unless you are money. Plus you get a good chest and tricep workout. If you want to up the anti, then do the push ups on the ball. I hope i have explained this version well enough.

Hey andy, that's pretty similar to the shooting routine i already have except i've never done beat the rival. I'll give it a try though...thanks! I'm sure it'll make everything a bit more exciting.
The unreal is more powerful than the real because nothing is as perfect as you can imagine it. Only intangible ideas last. Stone crumbles. Wood rots. People, well, they die. But things as fragile as a thought, a dream, a legend, they can go on and on

Here's a program I use during my summer workouts: Warmup: 20 - Mikan 20 - Reverse Mikan 20 - Mikan (no backboard) 20 - Continuous Left Hand Mikan 20 - Continuous Right Hand Mikan 100 Makes Super 7: 5 - Layups right Hand (right wing) 5 - Layups Left Hand (left wing) 5 - Reverse Layups left hand (right wing) 5 - Reverse Layups right hand(left wing) 5 - Layups using left hand (right wing) 5 - Layups using right hand (left wing) 5 - Reverse Layups using right hand (right wing) 5 - Reverse Layups using left hand (left wing) 5 - Layups center of rim left hand (right wing) 5 - Layups center of rim right hand (left wing) 5 - Powerslides right hand (right wing) 5 - Powerslides left hand (left wing) 5 - Short Pull Up Jumpers (right wing) 5 - Short Pull Up Jumpers (left wing) 70 Makes (All Super 7 moves start in Triple Threat Position from 3pt line and are timed to finish - player attempts to beat his time which creates game speed layups and attack dribbles as well as improving scoring at the rim with either hand) Shooting: Around the world - spot shooting or I call it "Groove Shooting" - ONLY used to improve form from 5ft @ 5 spots and then move on to 12 ft @ 5 spots Shooting on the move: 5 Spots @ Mid-range and shoot from spot to spot shooting off the catch (example: Elbow to Elbow - 10 makes; or baseline to baseline 10 makes) 5 Spots @ 3 pt and shoot from spot to spot same as Mid-range (example: Corner to Wing - 10 makes; Top to Wing - 10 makes) **** I never incorporate standing and shooting - only to improve form. Everything is at game speed ******** That's basically my shooting program in a nutshell and the kids are usually in and out of the gym in 1 hour tops with having made well over 400 shot at game speed. I also like the idea of Beat your Rival I will incorporate that into my program this summer - I think it's great!
