Well about a year back I started taking arginine supplements, a friend gave them to me so I figured what the hell. After 2 weeks of taking them everyday, a rash started to appear on my lower back, hip. It ended up getting so disgusting and painful I went to see a doctor. He asked what medication or and kind of pills I was taking. He said shingles are kind of the remains of chickenpox that hide in your nerves usually until you are middle aged. The main thing it needs is arginine to pop out of a person. Man for anybody who has ever had it, it hurts like hell sometimes, just throbs ALL the time, then turns into blisters and scabs over. Now I have had a damn purple scar there !!!!

I had shingles about ten years ago, covered about half of my torso. That sucks. They put me on codeine and steroids (not the serious stuff though, no gains.) I never felt worse in my life. The scar might go away though- I didn't get any permanent scarring from it.

Yea I hope so, I am not too tan and the scar is dark purple!
