Shaving question about waistband area
-
Tuesday, September 22, 2009 1:20 PM
( #1 )
Didn't know what forum to post this in. I've been using a foil electric shaver with great success, except for under my waistband in the front. It looks like I have some kind of pimply rash there and itches like crazy. I shave there daily, and have for a few weeks, but it doesn't seem to be adjusting to the shaving. Think the pressure/rubbing from the waistband elastic is making the hairs there ingrown maybe? Any advice? Thx!

Sounds like it could be jock itch (basically a heat rash caused by sweating) ive had it quite a few times and just use an antifungal cream or spray untill its gone (normally in a day or 2) If it is that i'd recommend using powder there for a bit JMBS.

I don't think it's jock itch. I'll try powder though and see what happens. Thx!

yeah ingrown hairs, I used to shave my body more, and would get them in that area too, as well as my butt where I sit, so I gave up on the complete shave and just do some light grooming and shortening of the hair rather than bald. That stuff just gets uncomfortable, my friend used to shave his stomache and chest, it looked so painful all the red dots.

Was at the grocery store and couldn't find the waxing stuff. I did find something called Bikini Zone. It's a creme to get rid of bikini bumps. Anyone tried this stuff? I'll look for waxing stuff next trip to Walmart.

Wetdawg You think eating a habinero peppers are bad, Getting that on your Bump will send you running and jumping through the house...Beware! I thought just the opposite: It has 2% lidocaine in it. Wouldn't I be able to pound it with a ball pean hammer with a stupid grin on my face?

I ended up just using my razor's trimmer attachment on the shortest setting. Problem solved. No more bumps or itches. :)
