A better question would have been, how accurate are those supposedly 15 lb sand weights?

joe, unless u r trying to like do some kinda 'out of the box training', both of them dont make a difference. but if u plan to do some out of the ordinary exercise that involves like pushing/carrying/balancing weights, sand would be more harder to balance since it is more malleable with less core stability, but metal weights would be easier to move around.

They are techiniqley (spelling) the same if you some how make a sand weight? But it wouldn't be legit imo to go around using those numbers to brag to people.

maybe hes referring to one of those weight benches that comes with those cheap 5 lb bars and plates that are encased in plastic. For some reason those cheap weights always felt heavier to me.
