 SERIOUS PAIN IN BACK!

SERIOUS PAIN IN BACK! - Tuesday, June 05, 2007 3:22 PM
hey guys well i have had a realy bad cough for the past few days and today when i was coughing i felt a slight pain in my back but then as the day went on it has gotten worse to the state where i cant breath without it hurting and if i cough i go down in pain for a couple of seconds could anybody tell me what has happened and how to treat it (btw how long do u think it will take to heal)

Might be a chest infection if its internal back pain...but otherwise its anyones guess, if it gets too unbearable see a doctor.

Sounds like the same thing I got a month or 2 back. I hurt my back doing pullups or something...nothing to serious but for about a week, whenever id even take a breath i could feel the pain my back. didnt last very long...id give it a rest and see how it feels in a few days

true man...don't lift for now and see a doctor, don't play with the back

It could be any number of things - mild chest infection (either bacterial or viral), small pneumothorax, muscle strain post coughing..
 
Get checked out - some of the causes are unlikely to heal by themselves and need further treatment. See you doctor.
