SERIOUS BACK PAIN!!

hey guys well i have had a realy bad cough for the past few days and today when i was coughing i felt a slight pain in my back but then as the day went on it has gotten worse to the state where i cant breath without it hurting and if i cough i go down in pain for a couple of seconds could anybody tell me what has happened and how to treat it (btw how long do u think it will take to heal)
