Che...get well sooon! That is the way to use it so that it is a serious weight gainer! Lots of folks just don't eat enough to gain weight! This will insure it! Take your weight every morning first thing when you wake up! Let us know when you start! It can also be a simple Meal Replacement Drink to make up additional meals to help keep the calories up...at about 1.35 USD$ per serving..it compares to a normal home cooked meal. I have other gainers that can be used as a serious weight gainer or as an MRP...all in the 85 cent to 1.35 range per serving. This is far better than drinkinq straight protein shakes as a meal replacement...as protein is not all the body needs and is inefficient as a replacement for a meal.

If you are needing to gain the weight... Well, the ideal is to find out how many calories you need to reach your goal. Then use the Bear to make that up. I am currently shooting for 1.5 pounds a week because that seems to be a lean gain for me...you have to know what your genetics, etc will support! Example(hypothetical): Right now I take in 2500 calories and my weight has not changed for a month, so I know I am at maintenance. I want to gain 2 pounds a week, so I am short of my goal by 1000 calories a day. (it takes 3500 calories to gain a pound and 7000 calories to gain 2 pounds in a week, divide by 7 days and that is 1000 a day) So, Right now I would need 3500 calories to gain 2 pounds a week. I can use 2 servings 1 scoop of bear in water or milk thoughout the day to make that up. Their 5 scoop a day plan adds 5000 calories a day (10 pounds a week) in whole milk and 2600 a day (5 pounds) in water. A reasonable 1 scoop serving in water provides: Cals - 520 Protein - 36.8 Carbs - 78.2 Fat - 0 In Whole Milk: Cals - 666 Protein - 45 Carbs - 89 Fat - 8 Use fitday.com (free meal journal) to figure what you are taking in now and go with 1-2 scoops a day on top of your normal food..see how your gains change...if you gain a pound on 1 scoop then you know you were eating at maintenance...2 pounds on 2 scoops...etc

Hey che, i wouldnt expect to gain the same things as your friends did. They might be different body and metabolism types. Let's say what could make them gain 5 lbs in a week quickly might not even make you gain anything.
