Routine Help - Sunday, October 04, 2009 11:54 AM ( #1 )
I have been trying to bulk up and gain some muscle mass. I have seen so many different routines on here that I'm not actually sure which one I should do.

I have been working out since June. After workouts, I am only a little sore if at all. I try to do 6-8 reps until failure and atleast 8 sets per bodypart. I do chest on monday, biceps and triceps tuesday, shoulders and back on wednesday, and legs on thursday. I do abs everyday or every other day depending. I weigh about 130 and I'm about 5'9. I have about 5 to 6 percent body fat based on my scale. I personally think my biceps, triceps and abs are pretty good compared to my chest and other parts.

Don't rep to failure, rep for a set amount of times and then rest until next set. You're doing too many sets, you want 4 sets at most and that's only if you're doing a split routine. Have a look into a full body routine, 'Starting Strength' is the big one to go for - look it up. Don't train your abs every day, 3 times a week at most. Eat lots of food, use the sticky in the diet section to help you work out how much you should be eating.
